As plans progress for Emerson Lakes, the brand-new Erickson Senior Living community coming to Lakewood Ranch, Fla., prospective residents and staff members alike feel secure knowing that the community is backed by the strength and stability of a senior living industry leader.

For over 40 years, Erickson Senior Living has managed award-winning continuing care retirement communities (CCRCs) across the United States.

"We are proud to provide a worry-free, vibrant lifestyle to more than 30,000 seniors," says Alan Butler, chief executive officer of Erickson Senior Living. "We are committed to affording residents the opportunity to enjoy an engaging retirement, without the need to worry about the maintenance or financial burdens related to owning a house."

Steady growth

In March, Erickson Senior Living opened Woodleigh Chase in Fairfax, Va., which followed Avery Point's opening in Richmond, Va., in October 2022. Both communities continue their development, with new buildings opening and hundreds of new residents welcomed every six to nine months.

Next year, Erickson will welcome residents to The Grandview in Bethesda, Md.--its first vertical living community in the footprint of Marriott International, Inc.'s former headquarters.

In addition, plans are beginning for a 92.5-acre complex on former farmland in Boynton Beach, Fla., complementing existing communities in Palm Beach Gardens and Naples. Also in the early planning stages is a new 62-acre development in Clarksville, Md.

While the company is committed to introducing new, industry-leading CCRCs across the country, Erickson Senior Living has also dedicated substantial resources to upgrade and modernize buildings and amenities at its existing communities.

A culture of excellence

Erickson Senior Living places a high priority on creating communities that are not only great places to live but great places to work. Among the company's values is providing a team approach to serving residents, with each staff member being accountable, striving for excellence, and acting with integrity.

More than 16,000 friendly and enthusiastic team members take pride in working for Erickson, and their commitment and dedication help them build meaningful relationships with residents and coworkers.

Adam Zubowsky, sales director for Emerson Lakes, joined Erickson Senior Living after attending events at Greenspring in Springfield, Va. As part of the team that opened Avery Point, he was excited about the opportunity to move to Lakewood Ranch, build a sales team from scratch, and launch the new community's Sales and Information Center.

"We put a tremendous emphasis on culture and values, ensuring that our residents and team members are happy," says Zubowsky. "We build, manage, run, and maintain these vibrant communities, which operate as their own little towns. When you add hundreds of residents and employees to a community, it needs to be a great place to live and work to be as successful as we have been for over 40 years."

A wealth of benefits

Erickson Senior Living is known throughout the industry for its ability to provide a worry-free, rewarding lifestyle for residents at a great value. Economies of scale keep costs down and enable the provision of high quality offerings.

Emerson Lakes will open with two full-service restaurants, both of which will offer indoor and outdoor dining. In addition, a bar will provide light breakfast and lunch fare and serve the outdoor pool and Jacuzzi spa. All dishes are made-to-order with fresh ingredients.

The community will also open with a state-of-the-art fitness center, complete with a full schedule of indoor and outdoor exercise classes; a spa with massage and other treatments; a barber shop and beauty salon; and plenty of common spaces for groups and clubs to meet. Access to these amenities comes at no extra charge.

"And, all buildings will be connected via climate-controlled walkways, so residents can enjoy themselves regardless of the Florida weather," explains Zubowsky. "They can stay active, meet friends, or take a walk without having to go outside, if they like."

Join the Priority List

Since Emerson Lakes' Priority List opened, there has been a tremendous positive response. Seniors considering a sunny future in the bustling Sarasota and Bradenton areas are holding a spot in line for their desired apartment home while they research their retirement living options.

"Even if you're planning a move years from now, you want to act early to secure your position on the Priority List," Zubowsky notes. "The deposit to join is refundable, which means that it's risk-free."

This fall, members will have the opportunity to reserve apartment homes in the first two residence buildings under construction at Emerson Lakes. There will be a variety of one- and two-bedroom floor plans available.

Invest in your future self at Emerson Lakes. From top-notch amenities to affordable, maintenance-free apartment homes, you are sure to live your retirement to the fullest. Request more information today!
