Trolley Service Between Airport, Downtown Sarasota Launching Soon

SARASOTA, FL — A new public trolley service between Sarasota-Bradenton International Airportand downtown Sarasota launches Friday.

The Breeze 76 Flyer provides direct service between the airport and eight downtown hotels, according to the airport website.

Hotels included in the service are Hyatt Regency Sarasota, The Westin Sarasota, The Ritz-Carlton Sarasota, Embassy Suites by Hilton Sarasota, Aloft Sarasota, Art Ovation Hotel, voco Sarasota and The Sarasota Modern.

The Flyer runs every 30 minutes between 7 a.m. and 8:30 p.m.

Visitors can also use Breeze standard routes 2, 8 or 99 to travel between the airport and the Downtown Station at 150 N. Lemon Ave., according to the Sarasota County website.

The trolley is equipped with luggage racks and costs $2 per passenger, the airport said.

The service accepts cash, ride tickets, 30-day passes or Change Cards, the county said.

Airport trips on the trolley can be planned using the Breeze Rider app or at breezetransit.net/breezerider.
