Scorpions Cancel Tampa Tour Stop

Illness has put an end to the Scorpions North American Crazy Would Tour, including a cancellation of the Tampa tour date.

TAMPA, FL — A bad case of laryngitis has forced the Scorpions to cancel the remaining dates on their North American Crazy World Tour, including the planned Oct. 15 stop at Tampa’s Amalie Arena.

Arena officials announced the news Monday morning, saying that the entire show, including the appearance by Megadeth is off. “Klaus Meine has been advised by a top throat specialist in Los Angeles to rest his voice,” an email from the arena said. “If he continues the tour, he could risk permanent vocal damage.” Band members expressed their regrets, but said there was simply no choice, the arena’s email added.
