TAMPA, FL — A Tampa man was charged with sex trafficking of a minor, according to a U.S. Department of Justice news release.

Dontae Burton, 39, faces up to life in federal prison.

Burton coordinated the victim’s commercial sex acts after posting photographs of her on adult escort websites, the DOJ said.

He told the girl how the dates with clients worked and the portion of money that he would receive from them.
Burton also brought the girl to dates and received money from her commercial sexual activity, the DOJ said.

This case was investigated by the Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office and Homeland Security Investigations.
