Four Kids And Kubs Headed For Cooperstown Experience On Historic Site

Three-Quarter-Century Club members, aka Kids and Kubs Cubbie Kutchinski, Bob Kane, Mike Callihan, and Kaz Gora to play with other locals

A ballplayer's Bucket List tour of 45 players, including Four members of the Kids and Kubs, flew into NY on Monday, September 18.

Three-Quarter-Century Club members, aka Kids and Kubs Cubbie Kutchinski, Bob Kane, Mike Callahan, and Kaz Gora will be in Cooperstown, NY, along with players from Three other softball organizations: 3Score Clearwater, Boomerangs Gulfport, and St. Petersburg Half Century Softball Club for three nights.

A Meet and Greet dinner at Lakefront Hotel upon arrival, preparations, and review of the 6-night bucket list trip by Cubbie Kutchinski, Janice Smith, and Patti Scharn.

On September 19, participants will tour National Baseball Hall of Fame and conclude the day with a Pizza party at Sal's Pizzeria in downtown Cooperstown.

Wednesday, September 20, at 10 AM, 28 players ( two teams) play on Doubleday Field. Renowned the world over, it is a recognizable name to baseball fans even though it's nestled in the center of a village of only 2,000.

Doubleday Field is the site of the annual National Baseball Hall of Fame game, bringing major league teams to Cooperstown to play. Now hosts the National Baseball Hall of Fame Classic game, bringing MLB alums to play a game on Memorial Day weekend.

The game will include 90-foot bases with Senior softball rules. Players have one woman ranging in age from 60-78.

Players are all wearing Childhood MLB player Jerseys. Ernie Mr. Cub Banks Jersey, others will wear Al Kaline, Rocky Colavito Jr, Lou Brock, Albert Belle, Pete Rose, Sammy Sosa

After 2 games, a return to the Hotel for a one-hour Boat tour on Lake Otsego.

Thirty players go to Niagara Falls the following day and play a 2 PM game on Thursday, September 21, with a team of Florida Snowbirds headed up by Brian MarCheese in a 9-inning game on 70 ft bases with senior rules.

After the game, check in at the Hilton and have a leisurely Night.

The Next Day, Friday, September 22, a noon boat
