An officer rode in an ambulance with Grijalva to Orlando Health Bayfront, where she was pronounced dead.

While driving to the hospital, the officer noticed a black Cadillac following the ambulance on the interstate, police said.

Officers nearby tried to stop the Cadillac, which headed south and led them on a chase. The car later crashed into large landscaping rocks in the 1400 block of 54th Avenue South.

Hansen was taken into custody and charged in his wife’s death.
