Motorcyclist Dies In St. Pete Crash: Police

ST. PETERSBURG, FL — A motorcyclist was killed in an early Sunday morning crash, St. Petersburg Police Department said in a news release.

A truck driven by 21-year-old Luke Martin turned left into the path of the motorcyclist, Damian Astacio, 37, who was driving northeast on Overlook Drive Northeast, around 12:40 a.m.

Astacio was pronounced dead from his injuries at the scene, police said.

Martin was brought to St. Anthony’s Hospital for treatment of his injuries.
