A 46-year-old St. Petersburg man was killed early Sunday morning after being struck by a Chevy Bolt while crossing the road.

PINELLAS COUNTY, FL — A 46-year-old St. Petersburg man was killed early Sunday morning after being struck by a Chevy Bolt while crossing 54th Avenue North.

According to the Florida Highway Patrol, the St. Petersburg man walked into the path of the Bolt driven by a 33-year-old Los Angeles, California man, just east of Haines Road.

After the initial collision, a Honda Civic driven by a 30-year-old Seminole man, also traveling east on 54th Avenue North, struck the pedestrian as well. Both vehicles stopped following the crash.

The pedestrian suffered fatal injuries at the scene of the crash.
