Woman Hit By Stray Bullet In Her Living Room: St. Pete Police

Investigators are looking for a shooting suspect after a stray bullet hit a woman sitting on her living room couch, St. Pete police said.

ST. PETERSBURG, FL — Investigators are searching for a suspect wanted for attempted felony murder in connection to a December shooting, according to a St. Petersburg Police Department news release.

Jacarius Courouthers, 26, and Daemond Murray, 18, fired multiple shots at a group walking near the 1700 block of Preston Street South on Dec. 23 just before 6:30 p.m..

There was an exchange of gunfire and a bullet went into a nearby home, hitting a woman who was on her living room couch, police said. Her injuries were not life-threatening.

Murray was arrested Jan. 12 and charged with attempted felony murder and being a felon in possession of a firearm.

Courouthers is still at large and anyone with information about him is asked to call St. Petersburg police at 727-893-7780 or text SPPD plus their tip to TIP411.
