Development Brings 68 Town Homes to Tarpon Springs

Callista Cay will take part in a ribbon-cutting today as the grand opening of the 1,000-foot waterfront property is acknowledged by city officials.

Left for dead when the economy plummeted, the Callista Cay project has been in the works for years and on Friday, April 12 it will be officially welcomed to Tarpon Springs.

According to Derek Cuculich of NRT, the real estate market's slow uphill climb marked the revival of the abandoned development.

With phase one complete and 15 units already presold, Friday's ribbon-cutting by Tarpon Springs Mayor David O. Archie will mark the first official day of sales for Callista Cay.

There are 68 units in all at the high end condominiums, according to Cuculich as well as 58 private wet slips for water vessel owners.

The townhomes are contemporary yet cozy, offering a couple different floor plans that all include a garage and access to a swimming pool inside the gated community.
