3 Injured In Rollover Crash On GA-400 After Car Hits Tanker Truck

Police said the tanker was carrying compressed carbon dioxide and several carbon dioxide containers.

CUMMING, GA β€” Three people were injured Monday morning in a rollover crash after a car crashed into a tanker truck, according to the Forsyth County Sheriff's Office.

The crash happened around 8:30 a.m. on GA-400 south between exits 13 and 14, authorities said.

The tanker was carrying compressed carbon dioxide and several carbon dioxide containers.

The driver of the Elantra was in the middle lane while the tanker was traveling in the outside lane, authorities said. The Elantra crossed over into the right lane and hit the tanker β€” causing both vehicles to veer off the roadway and flip, authorities said.

The passenger of the Elantra was airlifted to a local trauma center while the drivers of the tanker and Elantra had superficial injuries, authorities said.

Authorities said driver error was the single factor in the crash.
