Father, Daughter Found Dead In Cumming Home

Details leading up to the killing and the cause of death are pending autopsy results.

CUMMING, GA β€” A father and daughter are dead in what authorities say could be a murder-suicide, according to the Forsyth County Sheriff's Office Wednesday.

A home health aide found the bodies of the pair Sunday at their home in the 6600 block of Evans Drive, authorities said.

The father was identified as Jerry Frix, 58, and the daughter was identified as Megan Frix, 26, authorities said.

Authorities said they are conducting interviews and waiting on results from the State Medical Examiner's Office before making a ruling on the cause of death and details leading to the two deaths.

β€œAt this time, our Major Crimes Unit detectives have determined this to be an apparent murder/suicide with the likely actor being the father," Forsyth County Sheriff Ron Freeman said in a news release. "... There can be no justification for the loss of life, and we need to ensure that people know that they can reach out for help by calling 988 and be instantly connected to a crisis counselor."
