Forsyth Sheriff Investigating Possible Targeted Armed Robbery

CUMMING, GA — Forsyth County deputies are investigating an armed robbery that happened in the early morning of Feb. 3.

Deputies responded to an address on Browns Bridge Road in the northeast area of the county regarding an armed robbery.

The victims said a masked person entered their home and pointed a gun at them, demanding they open their safe. After opening the safe, the gunmen left the home. No one was injured during the incident.

A preliminary investigation indicates the victims were targeted by the suspect, who had knowledge of the home and contents inside the safe.

Forsyth County major crimes detectives have identified a possible suspect in the case.

“Violent crimes like this one are rare in Forsyth County and will not be tolerated," Sheriff Ron Freeman said in a news release. "Our deputies and detectives work tirelessly to identify and apprehend offenders who commit them. This individual’s days of freedom are numbered, no matter where he may run to."
