Items Stolen From Car Recovered During Traffic Stop In Cumming

The driver and passenger were both arrested and turned over to the Dawson County Sheriff's Officer, Cumming police said.

CUMMING, GA — A traffic stop in Cumming led to the recovery of several stolen items over the weekend.

According to the Cumming Police Department, at 4:15 p.m. Saturday, the Dawson County Sheriff's Office notified their agency and the Forsyth County Sheriff’s Office Department of a theft from a vehicle that occurred at the outlet mall in Dawsonville.

The Dawson County Sheriff’s Office was able to give officers detailed descriptions of the suspect vehicle, occupants and items taken.

At 4:24 p.m., a Cumming police officer saw a vehicle matching the description given by Dawson County Sheriff’s Office traveling south on Highway 400 near exit 15.

The officer pulled then the vehicle over and searched it after being given consent by the driver.
