Man Arrested After Armed Robbery At Cumming Home

A man has been arrested for armed robbery after a home invasion Feb. 3 at a house off Browns Bridge Road.

CUMMING, GA β€” Forsyth County deputies have arrested a man for armed robbery after a break-in.

On Monday, deputies arrested Christopher Acker, 37, of Oakwood, in connection with the armed robbery that occurred on Feb. 3.

Acker is charged with kidnapping, false imprisonment, robbery with a gun and first degree forced home invasion.

Deputies responded to an address on Browns Bridge Road in the northeast area of the county regarding an armed robbery.

The victims said a masked person, now known as Acker, entered their home and pointed a gun at them, demanding they open their safe. After opening the safe, Acker left the home. No one was injured during the incident.

A preliminary investigation indicated the victims were targeted by Acker, who had knowledge of the home and contents inside the safe.

Acker is being held at the Forsyth County Jail on no bond.
