Man Charged For Double Homicide In Forsyth County

The Forsyth Sheriff's Office arrested a 34-year-old man they say is responsible for a double homicide that happened last week.

CUMMING, GA β€” The Forsyth County Sheriff's Office has arrested the man they say committed a double homicide last week.

Juan Escalante-Alarcon, 34, of Norcross, was arrested Friday in Roswell. The Sheriff's Office was joined by its SWAT team and detectives, along with Roswell Police and North Fulton SWAT.

At 5 a.m. Thursday, deputies received 911 calls from 300 Tidwell Circle regarding a shooting. Deputies found two dead adult males and a juvenile who was also shot, but had non-life-threatening injuries.

Forsyth Sheriff Ron Freeman said Escalante-Alarcon was no longer a threat to the community. Due to the investigation still ongoing, Freeman said he is limiting the department's comments until the investigation is complete.

"Then I assure you I will have more to say about this suspect and his actions," Freeman said. "My gratitude to our partner agencies and awe of the incredible and non-stop work by our entire FCSO team. No way this guy was getting away from us."

Escalante-Alarcon had multiple active warrants, including home invasion, aggravated assault and first degree cruelty to children.
