Man Dies After Being Hit By Car In Forsyth County

The man was hit by a car Tuesday while trying to guide a box truck near Matt Highway.

CUMMING, GA β€” Forsyth County authorities say no charges are anticipated after a man wearing dark clothing was hit and killed by a car while trying to assist a driver Tuesday evening.

The man was identified as Salvador Ramirez, 76, of Auburn, according to the Forsyth County Sheriff's Office.

The accident happened around 6:40 p.m. in the 6000 block of Matt Highway, when authorities said Ramirez stepped into the road as he was guiding the driver of a box truck using a work light.

Authorities said he was hit by a 2001 Ford Ranger. Authorities said the driver did not see Ramirez, who was pronounced dead at the scene.

The sheriff's office is investigating the case.
