Teen In Forsyth Dies After Car Crashes Into Light Pole

FORSYTH COUNTY, GA β A 16-year-old girl died early Tuesday morning after a car crashed into a light pole near Mullinax and Windy Hill roads, according to the Forsyth County Sheriff's Office.
The accident happened around 8 a.m. A nearby deputy working school traffic arrived minutes after the crash, according to the sheriff's office.
A 17-year-old was driving a grey 1996 Toyota 4 Runner north on Mullinax, where the car hit a curb while the driver was trying to go around it, authorities said.

The driver lost control of the car while over-correcting it, and the car started rolling, authorities said. The passenger side, where the 16-year-old was sitting, hit an electrical pole, authorities said.
She died at the scene, authorities said. Her identity is unknown.
