Woman Dies After Car Crashes Into Tanker On GA-400 In Cumming

The woman who died in a Monday crash in Cumming was identified Tuesday.

CUMMING, GA β€” A woman whose car crashed into a tanker truck early Monday on GA-400 died while at the hospital, according to the Forsyth County Sheriff's Office.

Authorities identified the woman Tuesday as 54-year-old Sharon Hall.

The crash happened around 8:30 a.m. on GA-400 south between exits 13 and 14, authorities said.

Two other people were injured in the crash. Authorities said Hall's 2016 Hyundai Elantra failed to maintain its lane and crashed into a 2016 HINO tanker truck that was carrying compressed carbon dioxide and carbon dioxide containers.

Authorities said driver error was the single factor in the crash.
