Woman Dies In Cumming Wreck

The 73-year-old woman died at the scene, located at Bethelview and Castleberry roads, authorities said.

CUMMING, GA β€” A 73-year-old woman who died Wednesday afternoon in a car crash at Bethelview and Castleberry roads has been identified by authorities as Bonnie Hammond.

According to the Forsyth County Sheriff's Office, the accident happened around 3:45 p.m.

Hammond was driving a white 2022 Honda CR-V when she was making a left turn onto Castleberry from Bethelview, crossing in front of a 2006 Honda Accord traveling north on Bethelview, according to the sheriff's office.

She was pronounced dead at the scene, authorities said.

Two passengers inside of the Honda Accord had minor injuries, authorities said.

The sheriff's office's Traffic Specialists Unit is investigating the case.
