Here are the top three stories in Dacula today:

  1. Gwinnett County recently gave Explore Gwinnett, the county's tourism and hospitality organization, $500,000 of its federal Coronavirus Local Fiscal Recovery funds to invest in several areas of the county impacted by the pandemic. According to a press release, half the money will go toward leasing license plate readers at 110 hotels to improve safety and prevent auto theft; $150,000 will go toward helping prepare select high school students to work in the entertainment industry; and $100,000 will go toward Explore Gwinnett's Arts Recovery Program. 2. Dacula High School has opened registration for session two of its School Plus and Credit Recovery program, which helps students in grades 10 through 12 receive missing credit that might otherwise prevent them from graduating. Registration will be available until Apr. 11, and classes will begin Apr. 17 through May. 4. (Dacula High School via Facebook)
  3. New listings continue to hit the real estate market across Georgia. This list features the newest listings in and around Dacula, including a five-bedroom, three-bathroom home on Vidalia Court for $437,800. (Dacula Patch)

From our sponsor:

Are you a Dacula resident looking for an investment alternative to the stock market? Consider fine art. Masterworks is the award-winning platform helping 670,000+ people invest in works by the same world-renowned artists that are coveted by ultra-wealthy collectors and major museums alike (think Picasso, Basquiat, and Banksy.) Masterworks securitizes artworks by qualifying offerings with the SEC, allowing YOU to invest in shares of multi-million dollar paintings.

Contemporary art has outpaced the stock market by a whopping 131% over the last 26 years. All 11 of Masterworks’ sales have been profitable, the last 3 realizing 10.4%, 35%, and 13.9% net returns respectively.*
