Double Shooting Suspect Arrested, Charged For Death Of Man, 21: Gwinnett Police

GWINNETT COUNTY, GA β€” Gwinnett County police announced this week in a news release that they arrested and charged a man involved in a double shooting.

Brendyn Walker, 24, from Lawrenceville has been charged with felony murder, aggravated assault, and possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony, police said. They responded to a double shooting around 3 p.m. on Feb. 27, according to the release. The victim, 21-year-old Dakota Mcgee died from his injuries, police said.

Officers said they received a 911 call that day and were told that someone had been shot near the intersection of Macland Drive and McCart Road. When officers arrived, they found one man in his 20’s who had been shot. A second male in his 20’s was found a short distance away in a vehicle, police said. Both were taken to a local hospital. Mcgee died, the other victim survived, police said.
