Parking Information

Free Parking is available throughout campus, primarily on east campus, on a first-come, first-served basis. Parking for $20 per game is also available in the North, Carlton, and PAC decks on a first-come first-served basis. Campus Transit provides free shuttle service from the East Deck and from the IM Deck. The Intramural Field Deck, grass parking, and lots are for overflow parking only.

Overflow parking is located at the Intramural Fields. Fans parking at the Intramural Fields are asked to remove their cars no later than three hours after the game ends. Cars remaining after that time will be towed at the owner’s expense.

Additional public parking is available at many churches and businesses throughout town, as well as through the Downtown Athens Parking System,Prestige Parking and Tailgate Station.

For more information, check out UGA’s gameday parking guide and parking maps.

Traffic Information

Once the game ends, staff will direct cars to the Georgia 10 Loop, which circles Athens and provides the easiest access to all routes out of town. This is done to keep cars off of smaller streets that are not designed to carry the load of gameday vehicles.

Fans parking on East Campus will find a welcome addition to their postgame drive home as the new on-ramp will ease the strain on the College Station Road entrance to the Georgia 10 Loop.

Remember, the loop is a circle, so staff may send you in a direction you do not want to go. Don’t turn around in the median, instead, follow the signs and you will eventually get to your desired destination, probably faster than you think.

Please note that law enforcement will periodically make changes to the route based on weather, traffic and other conditions. Because of this, you may be sent a different direction from game-to-game, but this is all done in order to get fans to their desired destination in the most efficient manner possible.

Tailgating Information

  • People will still be able to park cars in legal spaces in advance, and arrive before 7 a.m. on campus, as long as they don’t begin creating noise and setting up any items (tailgate equipment, tables, chairs, tents) before 7 a.m.. As long as these items remain inside a vehicle people can arrive and park prior to the 7 a.m. approved tailgating time.
  • No turkey fryers. No wood burning or other physical material fueled fires aside from charcoal.
  • No unauthorized use of UGA resources (power and cable hookups).
  • Fans who want to watch television or use other entertainment devices that require electricity are allowed to do so as long as they provide their own power and video source.
  • No household furniture (folding chairs not included)
