Georgia Weather: A Freezing Weekend Forecast

Metro Atlanta, get ready for temperatures to drop, making for some cold nights between Friday and Sunday.

ATLANTA, GA β€” If you were getting used to metro Atlanta's stretch of unseasonably warm days ... well ... we hope you enjoyed them while you could.

Things are expected to cool down this weekend, with nighttime lows dipping down below freezing more than once. The high temperature may hit 50 on Saturday, but look for highs to be in the mid-40s for most of the weekend.

Meanwhile, the lows will be in the low 30s and forecast to dip below freezing on both Friday and Sunday nights.

Thankfully, there's no precipitation in the forecast for the next few days, meaning snow and ice shouldn't be a problem.

Friday: Mostly sunny, with a high near 47. West wind 10 to 15 mph, with gusts as high as 25 mph. Friday night, mostly clear, with a low around 31.

Saturday: Sunny, with a high near 50. West wind 5 to 10 mph, with gusts as high as 20 mph. Partly cloudy on Saturday night, with a low around 33.

Sunday: Partly sunny, with a high near 46. West wind 10 to 15 mph, with gusts as high as 20 mph. Sunday night should be mostly cloudy, with a low around 32.
