Georgia Weather: A Rainy, Then Warm, Presidents Day Weekend

Metro Atlanta is looking at a rainy Saturday, but then beautiful weather through Presidents Day on Monday.

ATLANTA GA β€” If folks in the Atlanta area can make it through a rainy Saturday, there's some truly lovely weather in store for the rest of Presidents Day weekend.

Cloudy skies on Friday night are forecast to turn into showers that could last all day Saturday and possibly continue into Saturday night.

But, by Sunday, we'll be looking at mostly sunny skies and high temperatures sneaking into the 70s.

That forecast holds for Presidents Day itself. Monday is forecast to have a high temperature of 72 under sunny skies.

Friday Night: Mostly cloudy, with a low around 47. Southwest wind around 5 m.p.h. becoming calm.

Saturday: A 50 percent chance of showers, mainly after 8 a.m. Cloudy, with a high near 60. Saturday night brings a 20 percent chance of showers before 1 a.m. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 47.

Sunday: Mostly sunny, with a high near 70. Northwest wind 5 to 10 m.p.h. Clear Sunday night, with a low around 49.

Monday (Presidents Day): Mostly sunny, with a high near 72. Partly cloudy Monday night, with a low around 52.
