Gwinnett Restaurant Inspections: Chick-fil-A, Moe's, Vinny's

GWINNETT COUNTY, GA — Thinking of going out for a bite to eat? Then check out these inspection scores for restaurant and food-service operations conducted over the last week in Gwinnett County, including all of Suwanee.

Most facilities did well, with about half scoring an A and five operations scoring perfect 100s. In addition, a restaurant that had previously posted an "unacceptable" score, The Tavern House in Buford, improved to a solid B rating. Restaurants with low or unacceptable scores are typically given a second inspection within a week or so.

How They're Rated

Each item on an inspection form has a point value ranging from 1 to 9 points, with violations deducting points from the best possible score of 100. Higher points are taken for items with higher risk to cause illness, while repeat violations take even more points.
