Gwinnett Restaurant Inspections: KFC, Outback, Waffle House

GWINNETT COUNTY, GA — Thinking of going out for a bite to eat? Then check out these inspection scores for restaurant and food-service operations conducted over the last week in Gwinnett County and Loganville.

Most of the 89 restaurants inspected since April 21 scored an A, with 31 operations scoring a perfect 100, but two restaurants — Buffalo House Cafe in Lilburn and Flora's Grill in Norcross — scored less than 70 and were deemed "unacceptable." Those restaurants have direct links to their inspection reports with their listings below. Restaurants with failing scores are typically given a second chance and re-inspected a week or so later.

How They're Rated

Each item on an inspection form has a point value ranging from 1 to 9 points, with violations deducting points from the best possible score of 100. Higher points are taken for items with higher risk to cause illness, while repeat violations take even more points.

Letter grades assigned are A for totals of 100 to 90 points, B for 89 to 80, C for 79 to 70, and U for less than 70.
