Double Shooting Suspect Arrested, Faces Murder Charges: Gwinnett Police

Gwinnett police and US Marshalls arrested Brendon Woods, 21, from Lawrenceville for the murder of Dakota Mcgee​.

GWINNETT COUNTY, GA — Gwinnett County police arrested a male suspect wanted in connection to a double shooting that left two men dead. They said he was found in North Carolina.

The Gwinnett Police Homicide Unit, with the assistance of the US Marshalls, arrested 21-year Brendon Woods, from Lawrenceville for the murder of Dakota Mcgee, a 21-year-old man from Lawrenceville, according to a news release. Woods is being charged with the following felony murder, aggravated assault, and possession of firearm during commission of a felony, police said.
Woods is waiting to be extradited from North Carolina to Gwinnett County, police said.

Investigators are asking the public to call the police department if they have any information regarding a red or burgundy Ford Taurus with Georgia License Plate: RYK0183. Shortly after the incident took place, the vehicle was seen driving in the direction of Brooke Manor Court in Lawrenceville, police said.
