  1. Beginning today (Apr. 17), traffic will be rerouted for the next phase of the stormwater improvement project along McMillan Road. A portion of McMillan Road between Winder Highway and Stanley Road/Church Street is set to be closed off for approximately five weeks until May 17. Message boards are in place to warn motorists of the closure dates and detour signage will be installed to show alternative routes. (City of Dacula)
  2. In honor of Georgia Cities Week on Apr. 23-29, Dacula is inviting children of all ages to pick up a coloring page at Dacula City Hall. Artwork submitted during Cities Week will be displayed in the Council Chambers during the Council Meeting on May 4.   3. Gwinnett County police are investigating a homicide after a man was shot and killed early Sunday in nearby Norcross. The incident happened at about 1:10 a.m. when Gwinnett County police responded to a report of a person shot on Pepperwood Trail. Upon arrival, officers found the body of a man who died from an apparent gunshot wound. Anyone with information about this crime is urged to contact Gwinnett County Police Department detectives at 770-513-5300. Tipsters can remain anonymous by calling Crime Stoppers at 404-577-8477 or visiting the link. (WSBTV)
