Mostly Cold, Wet Weekend Ahead For Dacula

DACULA, GA β€” Punxsutawney Phil predicted six more weeks of winter; General Beauregard Lee foresaw an early spring. But, no matter who you believe, there's no doubt the week ahead will be a cold and damp one for Dacula.

The National Weather Service has predicted this Saturday, like much of the past week, will be a cloudy and cold day.

According to the NWS, Dacula residents will see a mostly cloudy day marked by temperatures climbing to around 48 degrees. The area has a 70 percent chance of seeing rain, and a light east wind will blow through in the morning.

As temperatures drop Saturday night, rain showers could give way to some snow showers after 1 a.m. East winds will continue overnight and into Sunday morning.

Sunday will mercifully bring with it more pleasant weather with partly sunny skies and a high temperature near 52 degrees. Clear skies will continue into Sunday night and Monday morning, when temperatures will climb to near 53 degrees.

Rain and clouds reenter the forecast Monday night, according to the NWS. Mostly cloudy skies and rain showers will continue through the remainder of the week, with temperatures ranging from 31 to 58 degrees.

According to The Old Farmer's Almanac, cooler temperatures will stick around through February and March, with mostly sunny and mild days prevailing toward the end of the latter month.
