Slain Dacula Woman Had 12 Grandkids, 6 Great Grandkids

Funeral arrangements have been set for Margaret Wood Sheffield, 77.

The Dacula grandmother who police say was murdered in her home last week, allegedly at the hands of a teen neighbor, will be buried Wednesday in north Georgia.

Margaret Wood Sheffield, 77, was found dead at her residence on Track Way Friday, Sept. 12. Police believe James Watkins, 16, who lived down the street, stabbed Sheffield to death and that theft was the motive.

Sheffield, who was born in Virginia, was the grandmother of 12 and great-grandmother of 6, according to her online obituary by Strickland Funeral Home of Hartwell, Ga.
