Watch The Braves' SunTrust Park Being Built: Video

This cool new time-lapse video shows the construction of SunTrust Park, from February 2015 to April 2017, in just 90 seconds.

ATLANTA, GA β€” With the Atlanta Braves back home to face the New York Mets for the next few days, the team has released a new time-lapse video showing the construction of SunTrust Park.

The Braves documented the entire construction process of their new ballpark β€” from February 2015 to April 2017 β€” and shared progress with this time-lapse movie.

The video, from webcam company Earthcam, utilized live streaming video and billion-pixel panorama time-lapse webcam technology to render each stage of the project with detailed imagery.

Designed by Populous, managed by JLL and built by American Builders (Brasfield & Gorrie, Mortenson, Barton Malow, New South), SunTrust Park is the new multi-purpose home stadium of the Braves.

Their inaugural game at the park was April 14, when the Braves defeated the San Diego Padres.

The ballpark's property includes The Battery residences and The Roxy, a concert venue across the street. Lil Wayne is breaking the venue in on May 8.

The Braves officially left Turner Field on Dec. 31, ending a 20-year run at the ballpark, which saw a World Series championship in 1995. The Braves hope to score with fans as well at their new address in Cobb County.
