Gwinnett Offering 'Water Wise Landscaping' Workshop

LAWRENCEVILLE, GA -- Want to to keep you lawn and gardens looking lush, but help conserve water at the same time?

Gwinnett County wants to help.

A free "Water Wise Landscaping" workshop is scheduled for Tuesday, May 10, at 7 p.m., in Conference Room C of the Gwinnett Justice and Administration Center.

It will be hosted by Robert Brannen, director of Gwinnett Extension Services, and sponsored by the Gwinnett County Department of Water Resources.

"A water wise landscape is one that has been carefully designed, installed and managed to maximize water efficiency," the county said in a news release. "Any landscape, whether new or well established, can be made more water efficient by carrying out a few simple steps."

Brannen will be presenting methods and tips to help transform your yard into a water-wise landscape, "saving you money, maintenance and time," a release from the county said.

All attendees will receive a free, outdoor water efficiency kit.
