GWINNETT COUNTY, GA -- July 4th is quickly approaching, which means it's time to fire up that barbecue and find out what Fourth of July fireworks and festivities are going on in Gwinnett County this Independence Day. We gathered up all the fireworks shows, parades and festivals happening in Gwinnett County so you can start planning now. And Gwinnett County has some of the best in the state.

The July 4 events in Gwinnett County have outgrown one day in recent years with many spilling forward to June 29 and July 3 this year.

June 29

  • Loganville Independence Celebration: Held on Saturday, June 29, at 5 p.m., there will be inflatables and other kids' activities, vendors and a free concert featuring the Journey cover band Departure. Fireworks will follow at dark.

July 3

  • Larrenceville Prelude to the 4th: On July 3, will honor America’s Day of Independence is hosted by the city of Lawrenceville, on the Lawrenceville Lawn from 4:45 to 5:45 p.m. with Nashville recording artist, Maggie Baugh. The event will feature food truck and fireworks.

The Lawrenceville Lawn is located at 210 Luckie St.

  • Sugar Hill Sparks in the Park will be held July 3, starting at 6 p.m. The event will feature live music, inflatables, concessions and fireworks after sundown at the E.E. Robinson Park.

  • Norcross Red, White & Boom will be held July 3, from 5 to 10 p.m., at the Lillian Webb Park, 5 College Street, Norcross.

This free event is an annual pre-Fourth of July block party. The fun begins at 5 p.m. with bounce houses, face painting and an assortment of food vendors. Local food vendors are on hand to quench your thirst or quell your appetite. Then dance to the beat of local talent in the park before settling down to watch fireworks light up the night sky.

  • Duluth Celebrates America: Celebrate Independence Day on July 3, with a fabulous firework display, rockin' bands and activities for all to enjoy. Enjoy food trucks, children's activities, giveaways and more on Duluth Town Green. At this free event, there will be music, arts & culture, fairs & festivals, child-friendly events, group-friendly events, food & Drink, food trucks and outdoor recreation.

July 4

  • Mall of Georgia in Buford: 17th Annual Star Spangled Fourth

Celebrate July 4th with Mall of Georgia during our 17th annual Star Spangled Fourth event! Enjoy activities for the entire family including children’s rides, games, and inflatables, live music, food and beverage concessions and the largest fireworks display in the county.
Thursday, July 4, at 3 p.m.

Enjoy food concessions, Kid Zone, and more beginning at 3PM in the parking lot in front of Dick's Sporting Goods and Barnes and Noble.

Free concerts begin at 5 p.m. in the Village Amphitheatre:

5-7 p.m. – The Pak
7:30-9:30 p.m. – The Throwback Experience
9:30 p.m. - Singing of the National Anthem
9:40 p.m. – Gwinnett County’s grandest fireworks display
Movie Post-fireworks – “The LEGO Movie 2: The Second Part” (rated PG)
Kids Zone provided by Amusement Masters. Bouncehouses/Inflatable Amusements will be open from 3p.m. until 11p.m. Cash and credit payment available. No refunds.

  • Wristbands are $20 and include one ticket to use on the Rock Wall
  • 25 tickets are $20, 11 tickets are $10, tickets are $1
  • Additional Rock Wall tickets, Mechanical Bull tickets and Giant Ring Toss tickets are $5 each
  • Carnival games $3 per game

10'x10' canopy tents are permitted in the fireworks viewing lot. The tents must be secured (no stakes permitted) and must be broken down at 8:30 p.m. in preparation for the fireworks.
Schedule is subject to change due to inclement weather.

  • Star Spangled Snellville: The day starts at 4 p.m. and you can get your Fourth of July off to a good start with Snellville's own Independence Day Celebration on July 4th on the Towne Green. The afternoon starts out with plenty of fun and games and musical entertainment, winding up with the traditional fireworks display after the sun sets.

Fireworks show when the sky gets dark, approximately 9:30 pm.

  • Gwinnett Stripers vs Durham Bulls: Starting at 7:05 p.m., there will be Independence Day Fireworks! The Stripers will wear special Patriotic jerseys, each available via auction during the game. After the game, it's a July 4 Fireworks spectacular! The festivities are sponsored by Republic Services.

The Gwinnett Stripers, Triple-A affiliate of the Atlanta Braves play baseball in their 10,000 seat state-of-the-art Coolray Field on Buford Drive in Lawrenceville, less than 5 minutes from I-85 and the Mall of Georgia.

  • Braselton’s July 4th Festival, Parade and Fireworks: Join us at the 4th of July Festival in Braselton Park from 5-10 p.m. Enjoy food vendors and live music. Bands will play at the gazebo in the evening until the fireworks show begins. The parade through downtown begins at 6 p.m. on Hwy. 53 at the Braselton Tech Center. The fireworks begin after dark, and can be seen from several locations in Downtown Braselton. Click here for a map of downtown.
  • Lilburn’s Sparkle in the Park: This annual event in Lilburn City Park will include a variety of food, children's activities, live entertainment, and of course, fireworks! The fireworks show is scheduled to begin at approximately 9:30 p.m.

Event Schedule (subject to change):•5:30 p.m. Event begins. Activities, food trucks, vendors will begin selling.•7:30 p.m. GLOW the Show Band takes the stage•9:30 p.m. Fireworks begin. The show lasts approximately 20 minutes.

Fresh Air Party Rental will provide bounce houses. Tickets can be purchased from Fresh Air Party Rental at the event for $1 per ticket, $20 for 25 tickets, or wristbands for $25 unlimited use.
