3 Charged In Burglary Of Mariah Carey's Sandy Springs Home: Police

Miami police captured three men connected with home burglaries of celebrities in the Atlanta area, according to authorities.

SANDY SPRINGS, GA — Three men connected with burglaries of celebrity homes in Sandy Springs, including Mariah Carey's house, were recently arrested and indicted in Miami, according to Sandy Springs police.

Jeremy Caldwell, Terryion Anderson and Jalen Huff were arrested by Miami police Thursday and were part of a Racketeer Influenced and Corrupt Organizations Act case involving 24 gang members, authorities said.

The gang members were indicted on a total of 220 charges, including gang involvement, home invasion, burglary, aggravated assault and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, by a Miami grand jury Monday morning.

Sandy Springs authorities interviewed Caldwell, Anderson and Huff over the weekend in Miami and confirmed the arrests. The Fulton County Sheriff's Department will extradite the three suspects to Fulton County Jail "in the coming days," according to the Sandy Springs Police Department.

Carey's house was burglarized on July 27, when she was in the Hamptons after returning to the United States from vacation in Italy.

The "All I Want For Christmas" singer was among several celebrities whose houses were targeted in a rash of home invasions in Sandy Springs. One man was shot in his Parkside Place home on July 4 and is still recovering from his injuries, according to police.

Some of the celebrities targeted in the burglaries, which began in September 2021, include the rapper Gunna, players for the Atlanta Falcons and Atlanta United and a cast member from "Real Housewives of Atlanta," according to a report from 11 Alive Atlanta.

The Sandy Springs Police Department did not immediately return an inquiry from Patch.
