Bomb Threat Reported At Waubonsie Valley High: Aurora Police
Police officers conducted a thorough check of the school and deemed it safe, officials said Monday morning.
AURORA, IL — A bomb threat was called into the front office at Waubonsie Valley High School Monday morning, forcing students into a "secure and teach" lockdown, according to Aurora police.
Aurora police responded to the high school, at 2590 Odgen Ave. at about 7:30 a.m. Police said they worked with Indian Prairie School District 204 administration to decide on the lockdown method. In a "secure and teach," students remain in their classrooms while officers investigated the threat.
Officers, along with deputies from the DuPage County Sheriff's Office, conducted a thorough check of the school "and deemed the school was safe to resume normal activities," police said in a Facebook post at 9:11 a.m.

Throughout the investigation, parents were notified of the process through emails from the district, police said.
