Trine University students complete degrees

Trine University students completed degrees at the end of the Spring 2024 semester.

Central College dean’s list includes Aurora students

More than 390 students were named to the Central College dean's list for Spring 2024.

The honor is awarded to full-time students who achieve a 3.5 GPA or higher on a 4.0 scale while taking 12 or more graded credit hours for the semester.

Local student makes president’s list at Southeast Missouri State University

Madison Sniegowski of Aurora, IL, has been named to the Southeast Missouri State University President's List for academic achievement during the spring 2024 semester.

Students named to the list earned at least a 4.0 grade point average and completed at least 12 hours of standard graded credit in a semester.

Aurora student earns semester honors at Edgewood College

Evelyn Taylor of Aurora has earned Semester Honors for the Spring 2024 semester at Edgewood College. Full-time students who achieve a 3.5 grade point average for the semester are eligible for this honor.

Ripon College Class of 2024 graduates

Jonathan Michael Hall of Aurora, a member of the Ripon College Class of 2024, graduated during Commencement exercises held at the College May 12. Hall majored in History with minors in Educational Studies and Coaching.

There were 154 graduates, with 39 of them having double majors; 20 graduating Summa Cum Laude (highest distinction); 20 graduating Magna Cum Laude (great distinction); and 26 graduating Cum Laude (distinction).

The Commencement theme was "Breaking Barriers: Creating a Legacy."

To qualify for inclusion on the Dean's List, a student must have been enrolled as a full-time undergraduate student and must have attained a semester grade point average of 3.50 or higher on a 4.00 grading scale.
