AURORA, IL — A threat at Fox Valley Mall prompted a partial shutdown of the shopping center Wednesday afternoon, Aurora police said.

According to officials, police responded to a bomb threat at Round 1 Fox Valley, a bowling alley and arcade, around 3:30 p.m.

"Out of an abundance of caution, the eastern portion of the shopping center was temporarily closed while our patrol and investigations units, along with an ATF bomb dog, conducted a thorough search of the area," police said in a news release. No threat was found, and the shopping center eventually reopened for business.
