Illinois Author K.P. Lynne and Pawthor Duke Sterk Debut #1 New Family Law Book on Amazon

"Dear Duke...My Parents Are Getting Divorced" By Author K.P. Lynne and Pawthor Duke Sterk™ Debuts as #1 New Release in Parental and Juvenile Family Law Books on Amazon

By R.W. Troy

Divorce does not have to be the end of the world.

With a little “Pawsitive” thinking, divorce can truly be a brand-new beginning and a brand-new life for everybody involved.

Through a series of heartfelt letters, Duke Sterk™, a licensed therapy dog, helps children navigate divorce in a healthy way.

The loving Goldendoodle assures children divorce is NEVER a child's fault, children are loved unconditionally by BOTH parents, and it is “Pawsitively” okay to discover and focus on the “good” in the situation.

"Dear Duke...My Parents Are Getting Divorced" was written by Amazon #1 International Best-Selling Author, K.P. Lynne, with Amazon #1 Best-Selling Children’s “Pawthor” Duke Sterk™, a licensed therapy dog on staff with Sterk Family Law Group, P.C., with assistance from #1 Best-Selling legal author and attorney, Gwendolyn J. Sterk, along with Monika Wolniak and Kelly Garver.

"Dear Duke...My Parents Are Getting Divorced" was published by Koru Legal Publishing, LLC and is the fourth book to reach #1 in the Duke Sterk™ book series.

At one time in history, divorce was frowned upon, but divorce has become widely accepted, even by religious groups and churches, due to an increase in unhealthy, unacceptable marital situations such as...emotional abuse, financial abuse, narcissistic abuse, mental abuse, physical abuse, sexual abuse, stalking/banning contact with friends/family members, preventing a spouse from being educated, having hobbies, or a career, and incompatibility.

Men are now abused in marriages, almost as much women, and there is no shame in leaving an abusive situation, regardless of your gender.

Adults are often hesitant to divorce “because of the children”, when in reality, it is the children who can benefit the most from a divorce, if their living situation is dysfunctional, unstable or unhealthy, due to constant stress, arguing, yelling or fighting.

Divorce has become a healthy, necessary and socially acceptable solution for the well-being of everyone involved in a dysfunctional family...especially the children.

The relationships between each parent and child actually have the potential to become stronger after a divorce, when parents live apart, and each child spends time with the other parent separately. Social workers and counselors can facilitate a smooth transition.

As far as adult children, while divorce can be hard to accept at first, mature, grown-up, adult children need to understand each parent has the right to live a healthy, happy, life, free of abuse or pain. Professional counseling can assist with acceptance and foster understanding.

The decision to divorce is not easy and should be discussed with a licensed family law attorney, social worker or counselor.

If you or someone you know is planning to divorce, Dear Duke...My Parents Are Getting Divorced is a child-friendly resource answering questions and concerns.

While the book is NOT a substitute for legal advice, social work or counseling...it is a truthful and factual reference...with children’s questions addressed by a comforting dog.
