Hiring a Patient Coordinator

Chicago Stem Cell Therapy & Pain Management Institute is a private physician's office in Frankfort, IL. Many patients utilize insurance benefits for initial evaluations and portions of some treatments, though stem cell therapy is not covered and paid privately. The Patient Coordinator would be working with both patients and medical providers from the first visit through the completion of treatment to ensure the highest quality experience and satisfaction is achieved.

**Responsibilities**

-Act as a liaison between patients and medical providers

-Offer and maintain a welcoming and sophisticated atmosphere for patients

-Explain treatment plans based of doctor's recommendation

-Spend time with patients discussing treatment, what to expect, and answering their questions

-Explain and offer payment options

-Follow up with patients who are still making decisions

-Schedule patients for regenerative treatment procedures

-Work alongside VP Marketing & Sales to ensure a smooth process and ensure quality experience

-Call current or past patients for updates on their progress

-Enter notes in patient charts for consultations and updates

-Fax orders electronically as needed

-Assist in preparation of regenerative treatments

-Assist in the coordination of some insurance based procedures, including management of spreadsheets, communication with 3rd party companies, completing required paperwork for patient progress and approval of additional treatments

-Work alongside medical providers and assist as requested

**Qualifications**

The appropriate candidate should possess the following qualities:

Exceptional customer service with friendliness, patience, and thorough communication

-Professional and polished behavior and appearance

-Work independently without needing redirection

-Being part of a team and respect that other departments have equally as important roles

-Ability and desire to learn more and understand the clinical background of regenerative medicine

-Strong time management and efficiency

-Personable and confident when speaking with others

-Utilize critical thinking skills and have the ability to “figure it out”

-Ability to adjust workflow based off needs of patient or providers

-Prioritize and manage multiple tasks

-Have the drive to “do what it takes” because you take ownership of your role

-Experience in healthcare or medical office is highly recommended

-Experience in sales is highly recommended

-Experience as a Medical Assistant is preferred but not required
