New Top Official Picked In Hinsdale D181
She has worked in administrative roles in other suburban school districts.
HINSDALE, IL – The Hinsdale School District 181 board on Monday picked a new assistant superintendent of student services.
Erica Ekstrom, who is set to start July 1, is now the executive director of special education at School District 200 in Wheaton and Warrenville.
She holds master's degrees in education leadership and special education.

She has been an adjunct professor at Western Illinois University and principal of the STEP Campus in Valley View School District 365U in Bolingbrook.
"We are confident that her expertise in areas such as special education, multi-tiered systems of support, and educational policy will be instrumental in ensuring the continued success of our student services department," Superintendent Hector Garcia said in a statement.
