Woman's Death Under Investigation By Lockport Police

The final cause and manner of death will be determined at a later date pending police, autopsy and toxicology reports, the coroner said.

LOCKPORT, IL — Police continue to investigate the death of a Lockport woman who died of a gunshot wound on May 1, Lockport Police told Patch.

The Will County Coroner's Office said Rosy Strasser, 51, was pronounced dead on May 1 in the 900 block of McKinley Court. Strasser was the victim of an "apparent gunshot wound."

The final cause and manner of death will be determined at a later date pending police, autopsy and toxicology reports, according to the coroner's office.

Lockport Police told Patch that they are conducting an investigation into the circumstances around the woman's death. The manner of death has not yet been finalized, police said Tuesday.
