LEMONT, IL — The Lemont Police Department made a series of arrests over the past week involving local residents who were charged with a variety of criminal offenses.

Local residents are reminded that criminal charges do not equate to a guilty finding. All suspects are presumed innocent until proven guilty.

Juan A. Lopez-Arana, 22, Melrose Park, was arrested at 3:26 p.m. on April 23 and charged with two counts of aggravated battery following an incident that occurred on April 22 in the 14700 Block of National Park Drive. Lopez-Arana was transported to the Bridgeview Courthouse for a bond hearing.

Tyler J. Chukiak, 31, Calgary, Alberta, Canada, was arrested at 7:11 a.m. on April 23 and charged with speeding (35+ MPH over the limit) following a traffic stop in the 17400 Block of 127th Street. Chukiak was issued a May 20 court date at the Will County Courthouse.

A juvenile was arrested at 12:46 p.m. on April 23 and was charged with speeding (35+ MPH over the limit) following a traffic stop in the 17400 Block of 127th St. The juvenile was issued a May 20 court date at the Will County Courthouse.

Siddhant Khaitan, 27, Chicago, was arrested at 2:30 p.m. on April 23 and charged with speeding (35+ MPH Over Limit) following a traffic stop in the 17400 Block of 127th Street. Khaitan was issued a May 20 court date at the Will County Courthouse.

Griselda Ruiz, 52, Lemont, was arrested at 3:18 p.m. on April 23 and charged with driving while her license was Suspended or Revoked and with driving without Insurance following a traffic stop at Lockport Street and New Avenue. Ruiz was issued a June 14 court date at the Bridgeview Courthouse.

David D. Calhoun, 59, Lemont, was arrested at 4:58 p.m. on April 24 and charged with driving while his license was suspended or revoked, driving without insurance, and with no front and rear registration following a traffic stop at State Street and 127th Street. Calhoun was issued a June 14 court date at the Bridgeview Courthouse.

Edward A. Gladstone, 58, Romeoville, was arrested at 2:31 p.m. on April 27 and charged with driving while his license was suspended or revoked following a traffic stop in the 17400 Block of 127th Street. Gladstone was issued a May 20 court date at the Will County Courthouse.

A juvenile was issued a citation at 10:30 a.m. on April 28 for unlawful possession of alcohol by a minor following an incident in the 800 Block of Porter Street. The Juvenile will appear in the local court.

Mateo E. Munoz-Ocampo, 23, New Lenox, was arrested at 8:37 p.m. on April 28 and charged with speeding (26-34 MPH over the limit) following a traffic stop at Lemont Road and Bluff Road. Munoz-Ocampo was issued a June 16th court date at the Bridgeview Courthouse.

Neil S. Harris, 56, Naperville, was arrested at 9:25 p.m. on April 28 and charged with DUI, improper lane usage, failure to signal a turn, and driving without a registration plate light following a traffic stop in the 11600 Block of Lemont Road. Harris was issued a June 16th court date at the Bridgeview Courthouse.
