LEMONT, IL — Lemont resident Alexandra Andruszkiewicz delivered over 250 items earlier this month to TLC animal shelter in Homer Glen as part of her Eagle project.

Alexandra joined Troop 49G in 2019, her mom, Monica, told Patch. The Troop is the first Boy Scouts of America girls troop in Lemont.

Since joining, Alexandra has attended summer camps, campouts, leadership training, and has joined the Order of the Arrow, the Boy Scouts honor society.

"TLC has always been dear to her heart," Monica told Patch. "Her first adoption was two guinea pigs Chip and Chatter with her own money. And her latest adoption was a dog named Samsyn (aka Hank). She also adopted a cat named Sox."

She collected over 250 items for the animal shelter and delivered them on Oct. 8.

"[She] enjoyed giving each animal a toy to play with," Monica said.
