Trick-Or-Treating Planned Oct. 29 At Lemont Library

The library has several fall programs planned as part of its Booktober Fest at the end of October.

LEMONT, IL — If you'd like to do some trick-or-treating a little early, you can drop in at the Lemont Public Library from 3:30 to 5 p.m. on Oct. 29.

Kids and families can visit the library in costume and trick or treat and stop by to visit with literary characters. The event is for all ages.

The library has several fall programs planned as part of its Booktober Fest at the end of October. Here's a look at what the library has planned:

  • Oct. 21, 7 p.m., author visit: John Everson. Bram Stoker award-winning horror author John Everson will visit the library.
  • Oct. 21, 4 p.m., Goosebumps party (ages 5 and up). Games and activities celebrating the book series.
  • Oct. 23-24, Friends/Volunteers of the Library book sale
  • Oct. 24, 8 a.m. to noon, Junk in the Trunk. Check out the library's rummage sale where residents will sell goods out of the back of their car. The Chicago Donut Company will also be selling donuts, coffee and cocoa.
  • Oct. 24, 1:30 p.m., Pumpkin Tales. Meet on the library's patio to decorate a pumpkin inspired by your favorite book, character or scene.
  • Oct. 25, 7 pm., Haunted Page Halloween Tricks and Tales. William Pack will give a horror-themed show of performance and storytelling.
