Montgomery Village Board Supports Dog Daycare Facility Plans

MONTGOMERY, IL — Members of the Village of Montgomery Board of Trustees supported recommendations of plans for a dog daycare facility during the Monday evening board meeting. According to the village, board members accepted plans for the "Wooforia" dog daycare and overnight boarding facility from the village plan commission, who proposed the facility be constructed on an open lot west of Orchard Road at 2051 Mayfield Drive.

Project developers Wooforia, LLC, requested special use of a 2,000 square-foot building that would allow the development of a dog daycare facility with an outdoor part for the dogs, in addition to overnight use and potential expansion.

The board accepted the commission's recommendations on the proposed dog daycare facility in two separate 4 to 0 votes Monday, and also supported putting a final vote on a special use permit for the facility on the April 8 meeting agenda, Kendall County Now reported.
