Village Of Montgomery: Montgomery Announces A New Communication Platform For Residents, Simplicity

Montgomery, IL – In an effort to strengthen communication and community engagement, the Village of Montgomery announces its new smartphone application (app) for residents, business owners, and stakeholders to stay up to date with Village communications on the go. In addition, the Village has adopted the innovative Simplicity platform for those looking to better connect with Village happenings on a real-time basis. 

The leading-edge technology allows users to download the application to their phones (available for iOS and Android) at no charge. In addition, the app contains access to the Village’s most recent press releases, upcoming events, Village announcements, and notifications. As an example, the latest smart notification informed residents that the Leaf Collection Program is extended through the week of November 29 and provided detailed information for residents when disposing of leaves.

“There are so many resources the Village offers and important announcements that often get missed in social media or through press releases to the media. Unfortunately, we can’t control social media algorithms or the stories the press chooses to print, but we do maintain our website. Nowadays, people do not spend as much time at a desktop computer, so the Village has adapted to offer one more way residents can engage,” says Village Communication Manager Kristina Nemetz. 

Through the Simplicity App, residents will get the information they need, aggregated and easily accessible, on their smartphones, as posted to the Village website. The Simplicity smartphone app is free, and users can download it from the Apple Store or Google Play through the link onesimplicity.com/Montgomery or from the Village’s website, montgomeryil.org.
