2024 Football Schedule Released For Glenbrook North

NORTHBROOK, IL — In just a month, local high school football players will be taking to the gridiron as practices can officially start on Aug. 12.

A nine-game regular season, released Thursday, runs through the end of October, before culminating with the Illinois High School Association Football State Finals (November 29 to 30) at Hancock Stadium on the campus of Illinois State University in Normal. The IHSA will be celebrating its 50th state championship games.

In Northbrook, fans will especially be keeping tabs on the Spartans.

Matt Purdy returns as the head coach of the varsity Glenbrook North High School football team, which finished the 2023 season with a 2-7 overall record in the Central Suburban South. This fall, the Spartans will be joined in the CSL South by Deerfield, Evanston, Glenbrook South, Maine South and New Trier.
