North Suburban YMCA Opens Summer Camp Registration
Camp Open House Scheduled for January 7, 2023 10am – 12pm
Registration is now open for the North Suburban YMCA acclaimed Summer Camps. The Camp Guide, filled with dozens of exciting new day camps for children in preschool through junior high can be viewed at nsymca.org. Families will have the opportunity to plan ahead for an outstanding summer experience at the Y’s Camp Open House from 10:00 to 12:00 p.m. on January 7, 2023 at the Y, located at 2705 Techny Road in Northbrook.
The Summer Camp Open House offers families the chance to meet staff members as they explore the facility and learn about the wide variety of Y summer camp programs. There will also be a bounce house for preschoolers, a craft station, and games.
NSYMCA camp programs provide a safe, nurturing, and creative environment to support the development of each child. Y camps offer fun, active experiences that promote friendships, confidence, and curiosity. Campers also take full advantage of the Y’s indoor pool, large gyms, outdoor sports fields, and playground. Many programs also include weekly field trips to exciting venues around the Chicago suburbs.

The 2023 Camps feature a host of traditional camps as well as new programs for 2023 including:
- Specialty Camps - 3D Toy Design, Circus Skills, Comedy Camp, Comic Book Design, Nature Explorers, Jewelry & Bead, and Yoga & Mindfulness.
- Culinary Camps - Chef Rachel returns with two brand new culinary camp adventures.
- Dance Camp & Cheer Camp - Led by the Y Performing Arts and Sports Departments, these camps are now two week, half-day, sessions. Each session ends with a performance showcase.
- Learn From the Pros - 3D Toy Design, Battle Robots, Circus Skills, Comedy Camp, Comic Book Design, Culinary Camp, Nature Explorers, LEGO Camp, Magic & Balloon Camp, and Theater Camp.
- Half Day Field Trip Camps - Our newest premium camp experience includes Fishing Camp, Hiking & Kayak Camp, Martial Arts Camp, Ninja Warrior Camp, and Skatepark Camp.
- Full Day Field Trip Camps - Water Park, Camp Duncan, and Ultimate Adventure camps are joined by our newest full day field trip camp week, Chicago Trotters.
- Theater Camp - Brought to the Y by the Metropolis School of the Performing Arts, this two week camp culminates in a performance showcase.
- Dance Camp & Cheer Camp - Led by the Y Performing Arts and Sports Departments, these camps are now two week, half-day, sessions. Each session ends with a performance showcase.

NSYMCA Summer Day Camps begin on June 5, 2023. Payment plans and scholarships are available. Registration is open now and camps are filling up fast.
