The entire community is invited to the North Suburban YMCA’s Fall Fest for a day of family fun, games, and music. This free event presented by Back to Rock, the music school for all ages, will be held on Saturday, October 8 from 12 to 3 pm at the Y’s outdoor campus located at 2705 Techny Road in Northbrook. IL.

Fall Fest features entertainment and activities for all ages including bounce houses, bingo, carnival food, the Balloon Animal artist, and live music. The live music includes The Invaders with Peter Corasis, lead singer and guitarist, Adam Leutkemeyer, guitarist, and Seamus Hardt, drummer, followed by Bach to Rock bands from 1-3 pm.

Water, popcorn and other concessions will be available at Fall Fest but outside food and drinks are not allowed. Attendees are encouraged to bring their own lawn chairs to relax and enjoy the live music on the front lawn of the Y.

“Events like Fall Fest show the community that the Y is an amazing place for families to have fun and connect with their neighbors. We’re an organization committed to strengthening our community, so we’re proud to do everything we can to give back to the people we serve,” said Kim Nyren, NSYMCA Director of Community Investments and Events.

This year, the Y is bringing back its popular bingo game where all players are winners and receive a prize. This family fun event for all ages features 12 games from 12:30-2:30 pm; prizes include gift cards and baskets from local businesses and restaurants, as well children’s toys and prizes. The bingo game will be played using 1960s bingo equipment donated to the Y by the Civic Foundation. “Our bingo games are really fun because of this classic equipment,” said Nyren. “The Y is about families and communities, and with bingo, bands, and family fun activities, it will be a great gathering. We’d like to thank the Civic Foundation’s bingo equipment donation which brings so much joy and nostalgia to this event.”
